Dear Friends
and colleagues,
It is with
great regret that I have to inform you about the sudden passing of our
distinguished colleague and member of the board of directors of our
organization Mr. Kanaga Arasaratnam, Editor-In-Chief and Publisher of
“Thamilar Sentamarai”, a weekly publication serving the Tamil
communities of Canada.
Brother
Arasatnam, was an exceptional journalist, husband and father. His love for
his community was noticeable as was his agony for his people back home.
During the

privilege to know him and his concerns. His sudden passing leaves us all
with deep feelings of sorrow as his professionalism was enlighten and
aspire us all.
On behalf of
the members of the board and the members of the National Ethnic Press
Council of Canada, I want to express our sympathy to his wife, his
children and all his relatives and friends here in Canada and back home,
and send our prayers and best wishes to all.
He certainly
will be missed by all of us.
